Pinesmart Forestry Partnership
was initiated in 1997 and has 70 Partners.
Investors own a share through the Pinesmart
Forestry Partnership of two forests, one in Taumaranui,
in the central King Country, known as Hillcrest
and the other (through a 76% interest in the Beehive
Creek Forestry Partnership) in Pohangina Valley, near
Palmerston North, known as Beehive Creek.
The trees are aged between 6 and 9 years and much of
the silviculture work has now been completed. The forests
are well positioned to take advantage of the developing
forestry infrastructure in the area. Hillcrest forest
comprises over 240 hectares of Pinus Radiata that is
produced under a clearwood regime. The forests are managed
to a high standard and independently audited each year.
Beehive Creek Forestry
Partnership was formed in 1996 and has 17 Partners.
Investors share in the ownership of Beehive
Creek Forest, which is comprised of over 150 hectares
of quality Pinus Radiata located in the Pohangina Valley,
near Palmerston North. The trees are aged between 7
and 9 years. The silviculture regime has been completed
for this forest and the trees are exhibiting good form
and excellent growth.
